hijra-applet software package provides Hijri Islamic Calendar tray applet and GNOME shell extension, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hijra-applet
hijra-applet is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hijra-applet package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hijra-applet *
You will get with hijra-applet package name, version, architecture and description in a table
